Score Delta

Privacy policy

Last updated: 07 Nov 2026

This notice explains what personal data Score Delta collects and why, in plain words. It is written with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) in mind.

What we collect

  • Account: your mobile number, name, language, exams you follow, and if you add them, age group (18+ or under 18), email, state, category and exam year.
  • Your preparation: answers, scores, time taken, practice history and doubts you ask.
  • Payments: order, plan and receipt details. Card and UPI details stay with Razorpay or Google Play. We do not get them.
  • Technical: device and browser type, IP address and app version, to keep the service secure and working. Website cookies are used only to keep you signed in and remember your language.
  • Messages: what you write in help tickets, and any screenshots you attach.

Why we use it

  • To log you in, run tests, show results and analysis, and plan your revision.
  • To send login codes, results, reminders and payment receipts.
  • To process payments, answer help requests and stop cheating and misuse.
  • To improve questions and the service, using combined figures where possible.

We use your data on the basis of your consent, given when you sign up, and as needed to give you the service and meet the law. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not show your phone or email to other students. Offers on WhatsApp come only if you opt in.

Who we share it with

Only service providers that help us run Score Delta, and only what they need:

  • Meta (WhatsApp), for login codes and messages you allow.
  • Razorpay and Google (Play Billing), for payments.
  • Google (Firebase), for app notifications.
  • Our hosting and email providers.
  • An AI provider, when AI features are on, which receives only the question and your doubt text, not your name or phone number.

Some of these providers may process data outside India. We also share data if the law or a lawful authority requires it.

Students under 18

Under the DPDP Act, children's data needs the consent of a parent or guardian, and must not be used for tracking, behavioural monitoring or targeted advertising. So at sign-up you can tell us your age group. If you say you are under 18:

  • when you take a test, we take it that your parent or guardian agrees;
  • you see a shorter analysis, without detailed behaviour-based insights;
  • you cannot create public progress share links;
  • you get no marketing or offers from us.

If a parent or guardian wants a child's account removed, please write to us as shown below.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, there is a 7-day period in which you can change your mind, and then your personal data is erased. Payment records are kept for as long as the law requires.

Your rights

  • See and download your data from Settings → Privacy.
  • Correct your details in your profile.
  • Delete your account from Settings → Privacy.
  • Withdraw consent for offers at any time. Withdrawing consent to the rest means deleting your account.
  • Complain to us (see Grievances). If you are not satisfied, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

Security

Phone numbers and emails are stored encrypted, connections are encrypted, and staff access needs two-step login. No system is perfectly safe; if a breach affects you, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
